The Shiri Zorn Trio is led by vocalist Shiri Zorn, whose intercultural sound reinvents the American Songbook through the lens of Middle Eastern phrasing, unexpected time signatures, and reharmonized Latin and Brazilian classics. DownBeat’s Allen Morrison describes her voice as “cool, calm and cerebral,” with a tone “articulated with perfect diction and scalpel-like precision.” Her latest album, Looking for the Light (2025), continues the boundary-pushing spirit that earned her a Thomas Edison “Eddies” nomination for Capital Region Best Jazz Artist.
She’s joined by guitarist Chad McLoughlin, a versatile performing artist and composer who spent 25 years in NYC performing at venues including the Blue Note, Le Poisson Rouge, and Drom alongside artists such as David Kikoski, David Sancious, and Manolo Badrena. Brian Melick, an Eddies Hall of Fame inductee with more than 450 recording credits, rounds out the trio, using hand-crafted instruments to add rhythmic and textural depth to the group’s sound.
Guided by Shiri’s insightful phrasing and intercultural perspective, the trio reinvents standard repertoire to evoke a sense of transcendence — a shared space of deep listening and unexpected connection.

Bloodroots is a trio from Madison WI that blends folk, americana, bluegrass, and old-time styles. Bloodroots is comprised of Marin Danz (fiddle, claw hammer banjo, vocals), Rianna Marie (guitar, vocals), and Eva Paddock (upright bass, vocals). They bonded over a shared love of female songwriters and began playing and writing together in 2025. Through rich vocal harmonies, original compostions, and their own take on traditional songs, Bloodroots aims for a fresh take on a timeless sound. Bloodroots’ name comes from a spring ephemeral flower native to eastern North America.
Marin Danz (fiddle, claw hammer banjo, vocals) is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and botanist based in WI. She grew up in the old-time and bluegrass traditions in the upper Midwest and is a founding member of the bluegrass band The Sandhill Strangers.
Raised in rural Wisconsin and shaped by several years in Nashville, Rianna Marie (vocals, guitar), writes thoughtful songs about memory, connection, and the passage of time. Influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell, Kate Wolf, and Gillian Welch, her songwriting combines lyrical honesty with a deep sense of place. Her performances invite listeners to slow down and find meaning in life’s quieter moments.
Eva Paddock (bass, vocals), is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory where she studied classical and jazz upright bass. She performed with the Oberlin Orchestra twice at Carnegie Hall, and played in a wide variety of folk and jazz bands and contemporary music ensembles. She is currently based in Madison WI and will begin her Masters degree at the New England Conservatory in Boston in 2026.
